The Art of Dwelling grew out of this conviction: our expertise does not stop at the object. It extends naturally to the space that welcomes it. It is the next step in our commitment to interiors that are gentler, more genuine and more alive.

Co-founder of MUSKHANE
At twenty, Valérie set off on her first great adventure: a year in the forests of Gabon, alongside women deeply connected to the wisdom of their land. She then discovered South Asia and the Himalayas, an inexhaustible source of inspiration. In Nepal, where she lived for fifteen years, she immersed herself in a different way of being in the world: the beauty of everyday rituals, ancestral craftsmanship, a profound and ever-present connection to the sacred, and interiors filled with simple objects, each carefully chosen. From this experience, she drew a way of life that brings body, heart, mind and soul into harmony.
It was in Kathmandu that she co-founded MUSKHANE in 2003, with a desire to create objects that are meaningful, respectful and inspiring. For eighteen years, she shaped the brand’s identity through its collections, materials, colours and displays. In Bhutan and Myanmar, she also supported women artisans and textile supply chains in bringing their work to Western markets, driven by a desire to reveal exceptional craftsmanship and the stories behind it.
Based in Annecy since 2012, she founded Bloom Circles to share her vision of harmony and well-being, and co-created Pure Vitality, a space dedicated to rest and renewal. There, she puts one deeply held belief into practice every day: “A space shaped with intention and care nurtures those who enter it.”
With The Art of Dwelling, she brings more than twenty-five years of expertise and sensitivity to your home. Colours, materials, light, cherished objects: every element finds its rightful place. She guides you personally, from the first conversation to the final transformation, to create a living space that reflects who you are, a place where you can breathe again.

Frequently asked questions
Good to know
Where do you work?
We offer home visits in Annecy and the surrounding area, as well as in Paris. We are happy to travel anywhere else in France on request, and we also support projects internationally. The Discovery and Essential formulas, held remotely, are available wherever you are.
Do you work only with MUSKHANE products?
No. Our recommendations include MUSKHANE pieces when they make sense, but we select freely from artisans, brands and designers who share our values.
How long does a project take on average?
The Discovery offer runs over two to three weeks between the questionnaire and the review call. The Essential offer takes three to four weeks: questionnaire, discovery call, Transformation booklet delivered within 15 days, review call, then follow-up 15 days later. The Signature offer extends over several weeks to several months depending on the scope.
How do I choose the right offer?
Choose Discovery for a first look at a room that weighs on you, remotely. Essential for a complete reading of your interior and a transformation plan for a chosen room. Signature for a transformation carried out by your side, room by room.
Can I give a consultation as a gift?
Yes. We offer gift vouchers for each of our offers, perfect as a housewarming or birthday present. Write to us and we will arrange it together.
How does payment work?
For the Discovery and Essential formulas, payment is made at the time of booking. For the Signature formula, step 1 (Diagnosis & recommendations) is paid at the time of booking; the transformation half-days are then paid in instalments, according to a schedule agreed in advance.
